Do you share this criticism that, lately, Gintonics seem salads with everything that is thrown in them? Well… what would you think if the gin directly includes motor parts?
Uwe Ehinger builds old motorcycles: takes pieces of vintage motorcycles and creates unique and spectacular motorcycles. You can see a few on their website. To promote its store, the German agency Serviceplan has created The Archeologist (the nickname of Uw Ehinger), a gin that carries inside its bottle pieces of motorcycles to imbue the liquid with the “spirit of the Harley”. At first it may sound disgusting, but we have taken gintonics with worse things, like slices of cucumber or raspberries. Remember the worms that are inside the bottles of mezcal or the scorpions in other liquors. The bottles have original parts of three classic Harley motorcycles and everything is handmade: from bottles to labels. All the packaging recreates the motorcycles of the 30s, is printed with special inks in an old printing press, and so on.
An artisan work done with great care.
